Advanced Technologies Design (ATD), Suffield, Connecticut, specializes in providing military and commerical customers with cutting-edge Simulation and Training Technologies and Engineering Services associated with physics-based simulation-focused game-engine technologies, PC-based DIS/HLA capable host simulation products, PC-based visual/sensor simulations, AI-driven constructive scene content software, virutal terrain database production tools, virtual terrain and 3D model development, and highly immersive virtual testbeds for use in research and development (R&D) applications.
With extensive military, engineering, programming and graphic artist experience, the division's personnel have performed extensive R&D, routinely transition industry-leading simulation training products from R&D to fielded systems, and provide simulation architecture, game-engine, image generation and virtual database/3D model generation technical assistance to government agencies and commerical clients. ATD personnel also have extensive experience in system requirements alaysis, design, development, integration, testing, fielding and support of a variety of both stand-alone and distributed training systems and subsystems.
As both a prime and subcontractor, ATD has developed and delivered a variety of PC-based, high-fidelity space/flight/ground-based simulator products to USAF, Air National Guard (ANG), USA, USN, USMC, foreign military, commercial and university customers. These include:
Again, as both a prime and subcontractor, ATD has also developed and delivered a variety of industry-leading PC-based simulation software applications to military and commerical customers for use in various simulation training and R&D stand-alone and local/distributed networked (using DIS/HLA protocols) applications. These include:
From an R&D perspective, we have been heavily involved in the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program resulting in development of a variety of simulation capabilities, plus we have extensive experience supporting a number of research facilities, including various components of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). In addition, using our CYBORG physics-based game engine technologies as the baseline, we developed, installed and support an entire virtual test-bed capable of demonstrating overall system capability, measuring technical performance measures and partially validating hardware and software sub-system functional testing at the US Army Natick Soldier Research Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC).
